My parents always had a trio activity with her, so whenever they felt like, you know, playing, and they’d call her up, and they said, “Shall we play together, you know? Let’s have a jam session, so to speak, you know. So, they often had jam sessions. And they said, “Well, what shall we try today, a trio? Well, this one’s hard, but shall we work with it? And they would practice, and then they said, “Oh, we could play (this), you know, one of these days in the future.” And so they would set aside…next time, let’s try this one.

she was often at our house and they’d practice together, as they call it “gasso” or “playing together”, and then they’d go to her place and they’d play together. But that’s wonderful, you know, so we can keep the old, old classics alive, you know, things that were written in the 17th century and 18th century because those things are not played too much now, at all.
