60. Kayoko joined the Seiha school and began to introduce Nakashima Utahito’s compositions on the broadcast (KFAC). Many of my and my mother’s students got degrees from the Seiha school.

And so in the late 60s and into the 70s, they said, “Would you be willing to join my group, and…” help us, you know, introduce our music?” So, there were new compositions taking place, and we were always open for new compositions, and I like to introduce that for a broadcast anyway. So, we got to be friends and we joined the group which is the Seiha School of Japan. And they’re celebrating this year their 100th anniversary of the founding. And so, we were sharing all their music, and a number of my students got degrees from them as well as my mother’s students, too.
